PR Account Manager- Travel
Job Description
The employer is looking for a digitally savvy and tenacious PR account manager to join its dedicated and expert travel team. You will enjoy leading a team across a wonderfully varied set of clients such as tourist boards, hotels and travel companies. The role will be engaged in everything from integrated destination strategies and new business pitching through to consumer campaign activations, B2B, stakeholder and insights work.
You will be responsible for bringing clients’ stories to life in an engaging and creative way, managing a team to research ideas and identify media targets and writing brilliant press releases, features newsletters and social content. As well as building superb media and influencer relationships you’ll be identifying and working with brand partners, supporting broadcast trips, planning media visits and events. You’ll enjoy a fast-paced, exciting environment where you can use your commercial acumen, attention to detail as well as let your creativity roam free. You will:

Love travel and be interested in the issues and opportunities within the sector

Enjoy communicating ideas and concepts to media and influencers in an engaging, clear, concise way which delivers exceptional results

Have digital and social experience, and bring a wealth of creative content ideas

Issue news and proactively create and update influencer/media lists to ensure the best possible outcomes for each campaign

Research and contribute new ideas to client campaigns

Provide on the ground, pre- and post-event support for client events

Arrange and manage media and influencer visit programmes

Support integrated communications campaigns working with our expert colleagues in sectors such as media buying, digital research, creative design, culture, retailing and property

Become an integral part of each client team, building excellent relationships with clients and colleagues

Track and analyse reporting and results
Experience
-
A number of years of prior agency experience.

While travel PR experience is preferable it’s not essential. We’re most interested in your potential for our team

A genuine interest in communications
-
Experience line managing a team
-
Exceptionally strong social media skills and a genuine interest in travel

Excellent communication skills – especially on the phone
-
Not required but a bonus if fluent in French or Spanish

Good writing skills

Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines

An eye for detail

Good knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other general computer skills

Enthusiasm and a proactive, can-do attitude

Good teamwork skills
