PR Account Executive - Consumer
Job Description
The employer is looking for an entrepreneurial-minded consumer Account Executive (AE) for its growing office. Candidates should have 1-2 years of agency or in-house experience with national and local market consumer PR, excellent media and influencer relationships and a proven ability to manage multiple small or medium-sized projects simultaneously.
This position is to work on consumer and retail clients so applicants will need to have a desire to work with e-commerce businesses, high street retailers, leisure and consumer brands with an aptitude for understanding today’s discerning consumer and what they desire in the marketplace.
The successful candidate will serve as a point of contact for clients and handle day-to-day activities of the account team and client projects to ensure delivery of high-quality programs that meet and exceed client goals. The AE may devise creative strategies that utilize traditional and digital/social media, help develop client content, including media materials, online content, blog outreach, media pitches, event management, talent management and Q&As and participate in media and influencer outreach.
Primary Responsibilities
The Account Executive will be required to undertake (but not be restricted to) the following activities as part of their role.

Manage account work for multiple partners, with daily client interaction

Secure meaningful media placements client partners

Maintain positive relationships with influential media

Stay current with trends, emerging outlets, digital media platforms and tools

Develop written materials, including press releases, fact sheets, key messages

Participate in creative brainstorms

Facilitation of client assignments and projects from beginning to end

Help coordinating and executing all aspects of media events

Client recaps and reporting

·Assist in training staff and managing interns, as necessary

Identify and assist in securing new business opportunities

Experience
Skills and Experience

1-2 years of previous work experience in PR/marketing, preferably at an agency (related corporate/in-house PR experience will be considered)

Strong existing media relationships, with proven ability to secure quality results against a marketing plan (media placements, influencer partnerships, social engagement, etc.)
