Job Description

This Account Director opportunity is an important and exciting one. You will be directing the PR for Global lifestyle Consumer brands within the Tech, Health and Wellness sectors, whilst working with the UK’s most prolific journalists, influencers, and talent. You'll drive creative campaigns and activations and have a real passion for pitching and publicity. Overview of role

  • Develop and nurture close working relationships with clients.

  • Create and drive PR plans and strategies.

  • Produce creative ideas for campaigns and the media.

  • Manage multiple projects of varying scope and size including delivering activities against agreed KPIs.

  • Effectively delegate internally, and successfully manage team resourcing needs and requirements.

  • Advising on and helping to secure the bigger pieces of top tier coverage for clients.

  • Managing and mentoring members of the team

  • Advising and overseeing the creation of content by Account Managers and Account Executives (for example: key messages, press releases, pitches, comments, briefing documents, talking points)

 

Responsibilities:  

Client Strategy, Planning and KPIs

  • Developing a strategic working relationship with key client reports and ensuring that the planning and proposals / campaigns are set out to meet their brief / objectives.

Media Relations

  • Proven record of successfully running strong media relations programme (creating media angles etc) to ensure the team consistently produce high quality media coverage aligned to the client’s requirements.

Quality and Standards

  • Ensuring standards of work are up to the company's quality levels and meet client expectations / standards.

Delivery of Plan on Time & Budget

  • Ensuring that campaigns and programmes exceed client expectations and are delivered on time and on budget.

Creation of Media Strategy

  • Leading on the Media Strategy for client plans and proposals in terms of Media Awareness, Media Relationships and Media Direction.

Client Relationships and Counsel

  • Become a trusted consultant and advisor to key individuals while shaping reporting and communication in key client reports.

Management of Staff / Team on Accounts

  • Set team responsibilities across accounts and provide clear briefs on responsibilities while managing team’s performance and any issues.

Organic Growth and Business Development

  • Grow opportunities for the company across existing clients and new business leads for the agency.

Best Practice Procedures

  • Submit and discuss / agree best practice suggestions to the Director, while leading by example.

Experience 

  • 5+ years PR Account Management experience within a Consumer PR agency

  • Experience with Digital PR and SEO desirable

  • A keen interest in sustainability (to align with the group's core values)
